QUALITY ASSURANCE ORGANIZATION

Based on the needs of an organization’s quality management system that is able to meet the needs and stakeholder expectation, the Faculty of Computer Science implements a Quality Assurance System with the Principle of Higher Education Quality Assurance in scope of academic and non-academic fields.

The Faculty Quality Assurance System (SPMF) implemented at FIKOM UMI functions to systematically manage, evaluate, monitor and oversee the performance of higher education institutions. Quality Assurance ensures / guarantees inputs, processes and outputs in accordance with established quality standards. One way is to make quality of FIKOM as a culture that is shown by attitudes, habits, organizational behavior, work ethic, work, service, interact with colleagues, leaders and the community with the best results.

The Faculty Quality Assurance System (SPMF) is an element of implementing quality assurance at the faculty level. SPMF is chaired by Ir. Hamri, MT. To assist the implementation of the quality assurance function, the Chairperson of SPMF is assisted by STPMP Ms. Mardiyyah Hasnawi, S.Kom., M.T. (Informatics Engineering) and Ms. Lilis Nur Hayati, S.Kom., M.Eng. (Information Systems).

SPMF is responsible through coordination with the Dean of the Faculty and Head of the Department related to quality assurance, to collect, analyze, and report data on performance, quality of educators, education staff, study programs, and institutions. The quality assurance process identifies aspects of achievement, priorities for improvement, provides data as a basis for planning and decision making, and helps faculty in building a culture of quality improvement on an ongoing basis. The quality assurance system is aimed to build quality services to meet the satisfaction of student / parent stakeholders or student guardians, users of graduates, and other related parties to create graduates who are competent, skilled and have good attitudes.

Organizational structure of The Faculty Quality Assurance

The Faculty Quality Assurance System has the task of monitoring and evaluating quality assurance activities in the academic, student, financial and internal development of human resources and non-academic faculties to achieve faculty goals.

In carrying out its duties, SPMF carries out the following functions:

1. Coordinating the preparation of the academic quality book of the Faculty of Computer Science
2. Monitoring and evaluating quality assurance activities in the academic sector (education, research, and community service) as well as compiling material and input for monitoring and evaluation of the Faculty of Computer Science
3. Arranging improvement of academic activities
4. Monitoring and evaluating financial quality assurance activities and developing human resources
5. Compiling material and input in the field of finance and human resource development
6. Arranging improvements in the quality of activities in the field of finance and human resource development
7. Monitoring and evaluating quality assurance activities in the student sector
8. Arranging material and input for student affairs
9. Arranging improvement of quality assurance activities in the field of student affairs
10. Performing routine system audits and internal compliance audits
11. Submitting the audit report with its recommendations in writing to the Dean
12. Monitoring, evaluating and analyzing the follow-up of the audit
13. Assisting the dean in monitoring and supervising the internal non-academic activities of the faculty
14. Providing recommendations for improvement to achieve faculty goals
15. Addressing issues related to matters that can harm the faculty
16. Helps create an effective internal quality control system at the faculty
17. Conduct an assessment of the internal control system in force at the faculty
18. Submit an annual report to the Dean.

Main Duties and Functions of Unit of Study Program Quality Control Team (STPMP)

At the level of the study program, the unit which is responsible for coordinating the implementation of the academic quality assurance system is the Study Program Quality Control Team (STPMP) under the coordination of the Faculty Quality Assurance System (PSMF). STPMP was formed based on the Dean / Rector’s Task Letter.

Based on the direction of the Indonesian Muslim University Quality Assurance Institute (LPM), STPMP has the following main tasks and functions:

1. Assisting the head of PSMF in preparing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating and determining the follow-up to the work program of PSM at the study program level.
2. Providing, controlling and distributing quality system documents for all structural elements at the study program level.
3. Examining and follow up on the preparation or amendment of quality management system documents from all structural elements at the study program level to be submitted to PSMF for approval.
4. Monitoring the measurement and inspection periodically on the achievement of quality objectives and the implementation of the Study Program Quality Plan.
5. Together with the Chair of PSMF, proposing a follow up on the results of the measurement and examination of the quality objectives and the quality plan to the leadership of the faculty.
6. Assisting the Chair of PSMF in monitoring the preparation of Internal Quality Audit material and coordinating with all structural elements at the faculty level.
7. Together with the Chairperson of PSMF to cross-check the findings of the Internal Quality Audit and monitor the implementation of the follow-up of the Internal Quality Audit findings.
8. Together with the Chairperson of PSMF prepare materials and hold a Management Review Meeting (RTM) at the Faculty level and find follow-up on the results of the Management Review Meeting.
9. Consult with PSMF regarding the implementation of the Quality Management System and the obstacles faced by the SPTMP at the study program level.
10. Implement a Quality Management System at the study program level.
